Do you have the drive and ambition to join our talented Information Services Team at one of North Wales’ leading Higher Education Institutions? At Wrexham University we have ambitious plans to expand and invest both in terms of student numbers, innovative teaching and learning spaces,  and providing great support for flexible and accessible learning. This is an exciting time for the University, and we are now looking to appoint a Digital Learning Manager.

This is a key appointment for the University, reporting to the Learning & Digital Support Manager and accountable for leading a team responsible for supporting the development and delivery of technology enhanced learning provision across the University. This includes training and supporting academic and professional services staff and driving and supporting innovations in digital learning which improve the user experience.

In addition, you will support the Learning & Digital Support Manager to collaborate with the Associate PVC (Academic development) and the Academic Development Team, contributing to the development of high-quality academic practice and digital capability of the University’s HE practitioner community.

To be successful in the role you will be an established HE service professional with expertise in pedagogical theories underpinning digital learning and approaches enhanced by the use of digital learning technologies. A good understanding of virtual learning environments and other tools to support learning , teaching and assessment is also key, as is experience of leading change across departments and teams.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential as is people management and team leadership experience.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
