Sports Partnership Impact Manager

Fixed term for 24 months

We are seeking an ambitious and collaborative Sports Partnership Impact Manager to help shape the future of sport, health, and community wellbeing across Wrexham.

This exciting role will be central to the development of the Wrexham Sports Partnership, working with key partners including Wrexham University, Wrexham AFC Foundation, and Wrexham County Borough Council. You will lead on research, evaluation, and insight— using data to evidence and communicate the life-changing impact of sport across our communities.

You will design and deliver innovative research and evaluation approaches, develop data frameworks, and produce high-quality reports and insights. You’ll also play a key role in partnership working—bringing organisations together to inform strategy, shape investment, and support inclusive community programmes.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong analytical and research skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Experience of evaluation, reporting, and project delivery
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities
  • A passion for sport’s role in improving health, inclusion, and community wellbeing

A relevant degree is essential, with postgraduate or equivalent research experience desirable.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Wrexham’s ambition as a modern civic university, helping to deliver meaningful social impact through sport and collaboration across the region.

Wrexham University is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates and will ensure applicants will not be discriminated against due to their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. The University will make all efforts to meet your access requirements. Please contact our People Team as soon as possible to discuss any adjustments or assistance you may need to complete your application form, or to answer any queries you may have.

We welcome applications in Welsh and English. Any applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.
