Sport Science Technician Demonstrator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled Technician Demonstrator in Sport Science to support the delivery of teaching, research, and practical activities across our laboratory and field environments.

The role will involve supporting students and staff in the safe and effective use of specialist sport science equipment, including Cortex Metalyser, Qualisys, VALD and Isokinetic Dynamometer systems. You will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting high-end instrumentation to ensure optimum performance and reliability.

You will also manage laboratory bookings, maintain safe and functional laboratory environments, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the preparation of risk assessments and COSHH documentation.

Essential Criteria

• BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science or a relevant sport-related discipline or relevant work experience.
• Specialist knowledge and practical skills in biomechanics and exercise physiology.
• Experience working with sport science laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and practical problem-solving skills.
